LESLEY MCNAUGHT
ON BEHALF OF OUR LUCKY CLIENTS WE'D LIKE TO EXTEND OUR THANKS TO MY BIG SISTER LESLEY MCNAUGHT(MAENDLI) FOR GIVING UP HER TIME ON HER CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY.
WHAT AN UNBELIEVABLE CHANCE OUR LADIES GOT TO HAVE A CLINIC FOR THREE DAYS WITH LESLEY.
FOR FREE NO LESS. (There is perks to being
related to one of the best!!)
For many years Lesley had been in the Swiss National Team for show jumping and she was a successful GP-winner in Dortmund, Mannheim, Zurich, Bologna, Paris, Cannes, Washington, Sao Paulo, Vienna, Istanbul, Sofia and other cities. Lesley also competed very successfully for England as Junior European Champion, many Nation Cup Rides, Hickstead Derby 2nd place, the list goes on.
Besides these large number of successes she also won medals for Switzerland.
On her horse Pirol (Pilot) she won the team gold medal in Gijon, on Doenhoff in St. Gallen and on Dulf more medals in Hickstead.
On Pirol she took part in the World Championship in Den Haag in the individual competition and with the Swiss Team she won the bronze medal in Sydney, also competing in the WEG in Jerez with Pershing.
Lesley won more than 100 grand priz. She was not only successful on the saddle, she was also very skillful in the sulky when she took up trotting
horses for a number of years.
For a long time she was sponsored by Arthur Schmid, honorary president of the VSS and patron of the Swiss horse riding. With his death the association of Swiss sport horses lost its most important supporter – and so did Lesley.
At present Lesley is very engaged in the training of young riders in the international sport.
This activity leads her around the globe (USA,Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Greece, Great Britain, Belgium, Turkey, Brasil, Italy).
Apart from this role she is also busy with training young horses. After she had been Swiss Champion on Riot Gun in 2005 she dedicated herself more to the training of riders and horses.
At the moment she trains with very promising horses (ABC Lesky, Rainman, Kandjar, Tavaux and Ravel) and Lesley will hopefully return to the international sport in the coming season.
WE ARE HOPING TO SEE LESLEY IN THERMAL WITH HER GRAND PRIX HORSES AND TO GIVE US ALL A WELCOME HELPING HAND.
